# Definition/Guidelines for Mass production

This came up in the monthly community meet. Some members felt that the new user guide and rules should be somewhat more specific about the description of mass production. The current text seems to mostly be concerned with commercial work, but mass production towards charitable cause raised questions.

**Why is this needed**

Specific wording, even if its nature is just advisory instead of as written policy, would help new users to make decisions about how to use the shared resources.

**What is not needed**

Because commercial/mass production is considered case by case by the board, this definition **would not define what ends up being allowed or not.**
